New Kalamazoo Website goes live

August 2009

The new Kalamazoo web site is launched and additional promotional activities start to roll out. As a growing company, Kalamazoo have always invested in the latest technology.

The new web site offers not just a fresh look but has been optimised for Google as part of a campaign to continue to attract new business. The new site will support existing and new marketing activities undertaken by the Kalamazoo Group.

The new site was developed for us by Polychrome website design. Tony from Polychrome talked to us about our needs and then showed us some ideas and sample layouts. We worked with him on the content over a four week period to produce the new site.

We already had some good content but the previous site had become rather dated and was overdue for a lick of paint. What we didn't realise was that as part of the process that Polychrome call "Sales Contact Points" we needed to restructure the site to not only attract more clients but turn those initial enquiries into client relationships. This was acheived by simple things like putting answers to common questions about what we do in front of visitors when they first come to the site, instead of endlessly clicking to find what they want. The new look and feel to shows that as a company we are always moving forward in all parts of the business and the new layout allows for more content.

We already knew Tony so there was a level of trust in place but we were pleasantly surprised with how passionate he was with our project and how much detail he went into in learning how we work.

Tony from Polychrome said "It was a pleasure working with the team at Kalamazoo, especially Odelia who was great at keeping things moving along. Whilst is doesn't mean much to many people, the site uses the latest XHTML and CSS structure to ensure that is fast and lightweight and it has been optimised to rank well in Google in particular. The new design is clean and simple but does a good job of highlighting content of importance. Adding integration with PayPal for online buying of common items such as the Visitor Security Pass is all a part of turning visitors into happy customers who come back for more. Steve was great at letting go and I was able to focus on what I do whilst providing regular progress updates for feedback throughout the project".
